Employment & Labor

DBL Law’s Employment & Labor practice group represents private and public employers in all aspects of employment law. We assist companies in complying with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Our experience in defending employers in administrative hearings and federal and state courts provides a unique perspective on compliance issues.

We draft policies, procedures and handbooks and consult on disciplinary actions, terminations and day-to-day employment matters. The Employment & Labor group also defends employers in various administrative proceedings including the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Labor, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, Unemployment Commissions and other such agencies.

Our team has an impressive track record in representing clients in state and federal courts on non-compete issues, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, often securing early dismissals of those cases. We also have knowledge of I-9 and employment immigration issues.
