What a year 2020 has been! Join us for this free virtual training program as DBL Law attorneys review recent employment law changes, including the long-awaited adjustment to the federal overtime rules, legislation in response to the coronavirus pandemic, state and local modifications to paid leave policies, and protections for gay and transgender employees.

Presenters:

Nick Birkenhauer is a partner in DBL Law’s Employment Practice Group.  In this role, Nick assists employers with all aspects of human resources and employment law. He has considerable employment litigation experience and practices at all levels of federal and Kentucky and Ohio courts. Nick regularly represents clients before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, Kentucky Labor Cabinet, Kentucky Human Rights Commission and Kentucky Unemployment Commission.

Katie Tranter is a DBL Law attorney practicing in the areas of employment law and civil litigation. Katie represents employers in all facets of employment law, and has experience guiding clients through issues that arise in the workplace. Katie advises clients on compliance with various employment laws and regulations, and provides in-house training on such issues. She has experience drafting employee policies and procedures and employment-related agreements. Katie has handled matters involving the EEOC, DOL, Kentucky Labor Cabinet and Ohio Civil Rights Commission. She litigates cases in state and federal court.
