Nick Herweh is an attorney at DBL Law whose practice focuses on sophisticated estate planning, trust and estate administration, and closely held business planning. He advises individuals, families, and business owners on structuring and implementing tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, with particular emphasis on coordinating estate plans with business entities and long-term succession goals.
Nick regularly designs and implements comprehensive estate plans, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, tax-motivated transfer strategies, and multigenerational planning structures. His work frequently involves addressing the intersection of estate planning, income and transfer tax considerations, and business ownership arrangements.
In addition to his estate planning practice, Nick advises clients on small business succession planning and assists in structuring ownership transitions to preserve both operational continuity and long-term family objectives. His experience includes working with closely held companies, partnership and LLC interests, and planning around transfer restrictions in governing agreements.
