DBL Law’s use of AI is guided by a formal governance structure led by a standing AI Committee. The committee oversees tool evaluation, monitors firmwide usage, and continuously updates internal policies and workflows in response to evolving technology and guidance. Working alongside firm leadership and operational teams, the committee ensures that AI adoption remains aligned with confidentiality requirements, ethical obligations, and risk management standards. This structured approach promotes consistency, accountability, and responsible innovation.

Vetted, Secure, Closed-System AI

DBL Law only uses AI tools that have been vetted by some of the leading authorities in law and legal technology. We do not use any public-facing open generative AI technology, which can be prone to hallucinations and other issues. Our AI tools are encrypted, closed systems that no one outside our team of legal professionals can access. Our client’s data is never used to enhance AI performance technology for others. We do not enter client identifiable or confidential information into public AI platforms.

Attorney Judgment Always Remains Central

AI is used to enhance productivity in areas such as document review and information synthesis. However, it is not a substitute for legal reasoning or decision making. All AI assisted work is subject to attorney review and verification, including confirmation of factual accuracy, legal analysis, and cited authorities. DBL Law attorneys retain full responsibility and accountability for all work product delivered to clients.
