Patrick Hughes named 2026-2027 American Heart Association Heart of Greater Cincinnati chair
Through the American Heart Association’s Heart of Greater Cincinnati campaign, Patrick Hughes, volunteer chair and Managing Partner of DBL Law will lead community-wide efforts to help ensure every individual has the opportunity for a full, healthy life.
The Heart of the City campaign culminates at the Greater Cincinnati Heart Ball on Saturday, February 27, 2027 at First Financial Center. The Heart Ball is an annual celebration of hope and progress made through the dedication and passion of all who support the American Heart Association, a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone everywhere. Hughes is passionate about the Heart Association’s mission because he lost his sister far too young, an experience that continues to drive his commitment to fighting heart disease and stroke and helping families live longer, healthier lives.
“It’s a great honor to serve in this role,” said Hughes. “I look forward to working with our incredible team of volunteers and the American Heart Association to drive breakthroughs and implement proven solutions in science, policy and care for healthier people and communities. Creating lasting impact takes all of us — and together, we can build a healthier future for every person in Greater Cincinnati.”
As Managing Partner of DBL Law, Hughes leads the firm with a focus on delivering practical, business-minded legal counsel and consistent client experience across the organization. He works closely with the firm’s attorneys and leadership team to support growth, develop talent, and keep DBL Law aligned around what matters most to its clients and communities
Hughes is a longtime member of Board of Directors for the Life Learning Center, a non-profit organization and United Way partner agency. Hughes also serves on the Board of Directors for Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky and on the Board of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
“Patrick Hughes brings exceptional vision and energy as respected community leader. His commitment to the American Heart Association’s mission, combined with a clear passion for improving the well-being of our community, makes him an outstanding choice to lead this year’s campaign,” said Alyson Poling, Executive Director of the Greater Cincinnati American Heart Association “We welcome Patrick as chair of the Heart of Greater Cincinnati campaign, which unites leaders across our community to advance health and hope for everyone, everywhere.”
The 2027 Heart Ball is sponsored by St. Elizabeth Healthcare. Throughout the evening, the Heart Association will honor volunteers and patrons, share survivor stories and entertain guests with dinner, dancing and an auction.
