DBL Law Partner David Kramer Appointed by Kentucky Supreme Court as Chair of Civil Rules Review Task Force

David Kramer Appointed by KY Supreme Court to task force

The Kentucky Supreme Court has appointed DBL Law partner David Kramer to a Civil Rules Review Task Force composed of lawyers from across the Commonwealth to assist the Court in updating the Kentucky Rules of Civil Procedure. Kramer, who also serves as a member of the Supreme Court’s Civil Rules Committee, was nominated by Justice Michelle Keller as the representative for the Sixth Supreme Court District and was asked to chair the Task Force by Chief Justice Laurance VanMeter.

“I am deeply honored by this appointment and would like to express my appreciation to the Supreme Court, especially Chief Justice VanMeter and Justice Keller,” said Kramer. “I look forward to working with an outstanding group of lawyers from around the state on this important project and assisting the Court in modernizing the Civil Rules.”

Kramer chairs the Litigation Practice Group at DBL Law. He is the author of the two-volume treatise on the Kentucky Civil Rules published by Thomson Reuters West, part of the Kentucky Practice Series. Those volumes are widely regarded as the leading reference on the Kentucky Civil Rules.

Among other honors and distinctions, Kramer is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been named on multiple occasions as one of the Top 10 Super Lawyers in Kentucky by Super Lawyers Magazine. He has also been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for health-care law and health-care litigation.
