Matt Klein

Partner

Matt is a partner and chair of DBL Law’s Health Care practice. He represents hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care and senior living facilities as well as healthcare professionals. Matt advises clients on Medicare and Medicaid MCO reimbursement, joint ventures and other transactional matters, Anti-kickback/Stark/False Claims issues, physician employment, and other issues that impact their operations.

In addition, Matt has extensive experience in administrative law and frequently represents clients before state agencies in matters concerning certificate of need, licensure/certification, and Medicaid reimbursement/recoupment. Matt has represented the Kentucky Hospital Association and numerous Kentucky hospitals and hospital systems in Medicaid rate appeal cases. These appeals have generated over $100 million in additional Medicaid payments for his clients. Since Kentucky transferred to Medicaid Managed Care, Matt has been involved with developing strategies to help providers enforce their contractual and statutory rights.

Matt resides in Villa Hills with his wife, Mary Jean.
