Katie Tranter


Katie is a partner practicing primarily in the areas of Employment & Labor and Litigation & Dispute Resolution. She joined DBL Law as a summer associate in May of 2011 and is based in the firm’s downtown Cincinnati office.

Katie’s law practice includes advising clients on compliance with various employment laws and regulations and providing in-house training on such issues. She has experience drafting employee policies and procedures, as well as employment agreements. She has handled cases involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, Kentucky Labor Cabinet, and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. She litigates cases in state and federal court.

Katie has been featured on WVXU and the Northern Kentucky Spotlight podcast as a subject matter expert, discussing legal updates relating to the Kentucky Pregnant Workers Act and employer representation in unemployment appeals hearings.

Katie obtained her law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, cum laude, in 2012. During law school, Katie was an Associate Member of the Law Review. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing from Boston College.

Katie is a member of the Cincinnati Zoo Ambassador Council. She previously served as a Trustee for Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky and was a committee member for Girls on the Run of Greater Cincinnati. Katie resides with her family in Mt. Lookout.
