DBL Law and the Goering Center for Family and Private Business have partnered to produce “Family Business Friday,” a weekly radio feature that will provide practical tips for family and privately owned businesses. The feature debuts this week and will air during WVXU-FM’s Morning Edition on Friday mornings.
The short features will highlight important topics for small business owners such as law, finance, strategic planning, and human resources. Family Business Friday will also highlight local business events focused on family-owned companies.
“This is an extension of our relationship with the Goering Center for Family and Private Business,” said Kevin Hoskins, a partner at DBL Law. “The topics covered on Family Business Friday deal with many of the same issues we talk about with Goering Center members.”
DBL Law is a corporate partner with the Goering Center. DBL Law works with Goering Center member businesses on issues such as delinquent account collection, legal implications of social media, contracts, and estate planning.
“Family-owned businesses often become so focused on operations that other important issues are neglected,” said Larry Grypp, President at the Goering Center for Family and Privately Held Business. “Family Business Friday is a reminder of those other issues that family and private business owners need to address to help protect and grow their companies.”
