Crestview Hills, KY; April 7, 2008 –Students from Covington Latin School (CLS) were recently awarded scholarships from the Jack LaVelle Memorial Fund. The fund was established by the Northern Kentucky law firm, Deters, Benzinger & LaVelle (DBL) to honor one of the firm’s founding members, John C. “Jack” LaVelle who passed away in June, 2003. Mr. LaVelle was a 1962 graduate of Covington Latin School.
On hand to present the $1,000 scholarships awarded to each student were Linda LaVelle, Jack LaVelle’s widow, and DBL partner and CLS graduate (class of 1976), Mark Guilfoyle.
The Jack LaVelle Memorial Fund scholarships will be awarded annually to Covington Latin School students.
