DBL Law welcomes The United States Air Force Jazz Band to Cincinnati for an open-air concert Sunday June 29 at Washington Park. The appearance is part of DBL Law Presents OTR Performs, a Sunday evening arts series that runs through August in Washington Park. The series is produced by the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC).
The Air Force Jazz Band is the premier jazz ensemble of the United States Air Force. Stationed at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., it is one of six musical ensembles that make up The U.S. Air Force Band. Created in 1950 to continue the tradition of Major Glenn Miller’s Army Air Corps dance band, the current band consists of 18 active duty Airmen musicians including one vocalist.
