DBL Law recently added senior litigator Robert L. Davis as of counsel in the Cincinnati office and Christopher B. Markus as an associate to the litigation practice group.
“DBL has 50-plus year history of a successful litigation practice in the Tri-state,” said managing partner, Gerald Benzinger. “We are confident that these additions to our team will continue to bring our clients excellence and great satisfaction in a variety of litigation matters.”
Mr. Davis has been a solo practitioner in downtown Cincinnati since 1972. He has been involved in more than 100 jury trials including civil jury cases, railroad cases and personal injury cases. He was awarded the prestigious Cincinnati Bar Association’s John P. Kiely Professionalism Award in 2002. He has been inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Davis is also very involved in the community, serving on the board of the Hamilton County Hospital Commission, assisting with the cardiac rehab and surgery visitation programs at Good Samaritan Hospital and having volunteered at Washington Park Elementary School prior to its closing.
In the litigation group, Chris Markus will focus on Banking and Commercial Law and Creditor’s Rights. Prior to joining DBL, he was an associate at a large creditor’s rights firm in Cincinnati. Chris obtained his law degree from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law. While attending law school, he served as the Kentucky Survey Editor for the Northern Kentucky Law Review.
