Law firm contributes to Covington Latin School on behalf of firm’s founding member
Crestview Hills, KY; February 9, 2007— Partners with the law firm of Deters, Benzinger & LaVelle, Patrick Hughes (class of 1986) and Mark Guilfoyle (Class of 1976), recently presented a $25,000 check to Andy Barczak, headmaster of the Covington Latin School. The firm’s contribution represents the third installment of a $75,000.00 pledge by Deters, Benzinger & LaVelle, to Covington Latin School, honoring one of the firm’s founding members, John C. “Jack” LaVelle who passed away in June, 2003. Mr. LaVelle was a 1962 graduate of Covington Latin School.
Linda LaVelle, Jack’s widow, was also on hand for the check presentation. Monies contributed to the Jack LaVelle Memorial Fund will be used for financial need scholarships for worthy students at Covington Latin School.
