Crestview Hills, KY; December 15, 2010—Bob Hoffer, partner at Dressman Benzinger LaVelle, was recently awarded the Outstanding Community Service Bonitatem Award from the Covington Latin School. Mr. Hoffer is a 1972 alumnus of the school. Embodying the school motto Bonitatem et Disciplinam et Scientiam Doce Me (teach me goodness, discipline and wisdom), Hoffer was presented the award for his work in the community, including the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home (DCCH).
Hoffer, as capital campaign co-chair for DCCH, has helped raise more than $3.2 million for the residents at the Northern Kentucky non-profit. Hoffer has also demonstrated extraordinary leadership in professional, civic and community roles, serving as a board member for Blessed Sacrament Church Pastoral Counsel and Boosters, Crossroads Hospice, Northern Kentucky Bar Association, Carmel Manor Nursing Home, Kentucky Defense Counsel, St. Elizabeth Healthcare Foundation and the advisory board for Sisters of Divine Providence. He has also coached youth sports for over 20 years and been a leader for the Diocese of Covington assisting with their Cursillo and Christian Awakening retreats.
Hoffer heads DBL’s employment law division which represents employers of all sizes including some of the largest throughout the Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati area. His employment law practice covers all issues impacting employers on a daily basis including compliance with the state and federal employment laws. A large part of his practice includes litigating employment cases in federal and state courts.
