Mickey has been with DBL Law since he joined the firm as a summer associate in May of 2016. His work is primarily focused on general business representation and transactional matters involving corporations, commercial banking, and real estate. In addition, Mickey advises businesses, entrepreneurs, artists, and individuals with various intellectual property matters, including: the registration and enforcement of copyrights; the prosecution, registration and enforcement of trademarks; publicity rights, and related intellectual property licensing.
Mickey obtained his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2017, where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, Mickey served as the Managing Editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review and was named to the Dean’s Honor List every semester. Additionally, during law school he interned for the Honorable Senior Judge William O. Bertelsman of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and also served as the President of UC’s Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta.
Prior to attending the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Mickey obtained a B.A. in History and a Minor in Classical Studies from Siena College (Loudonville, NY) where he graduated magna cum laude and was a four-year member of the Division I Men’s Golf Team.
Mickey is a Northern Kentucky native and a graduate of Covington Catholic High School (2010). He currently resides in Covington, Kentucky.
