Kayla Campbell was born and raised in the city of Louisville. She spent a few years away while attending the University of Kentucky for her undergraduate studies. She graduated summa cum lade for UK in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at UK, she spent a lot of time working in local politics as an intern with the Kentucky Legislature.
It was an easy decision for Kayla to come back home to pursue her legal education at the University of Louisville, where she recently graduated magna cum laude in May 2017. During her time at Brandeis, she served in various student leadership positions. She was Historian of the Student Bar Association (“SBA”) during her second year and Social Chair of SBA during her third year. Also during her third year, she served as a 3L representative on the law school’s Honor Council, Notes Editor of the Journal of Animal and Environmental Law, and a pupil member of the Louis D. Brandeis American Inn of Court.” She also participated in externships at both the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky and the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney’s.
Kayla ‘s interests include cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
