Patrick R. Hughes practices extensively in the areas of banking, commercial transactions and economic development and represents clients in government licensing and administrative law matters. He is admitted to practice law both in Kentucky and Ohio.
He recently returned to private practice, having served as Chief Deputy Attorney General to Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway. As Chief Deputy, Patrick was responsible for daily operations of the Office of the Attorney General. He also managed a number of important initiatives, including review of a major proposed hospital merger and legislation to improve the function of the Kentucky All Schedule Electronic Reporting system, an important tool in the fight against prescription drug diversion and abuse.

Prior to joining Dressman Benzinger LaVelle in 1997, Patrick served as legal counsel to the Secretary of the Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet, where he oversaw capital projects, property management, procurement and financial management.
Patrick serves as a member of the Governance Committee of Senior Services of Northern Kentucky. Patrick has also served on the Board of Education for Covington Latin School, the Board of Directors of Senior Services of Northern Kentucky, Board of Directors of Family Services of Greater Cincinnati and the Kenton County Library Foundation.Kentucky Bar Association
