Mark D. Guilfoyle, partner at DBL Law, was recently appointed chairman of the board for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Covington. Catholic Charities provides a broad range of services to people and groups in need without regard to status or income. The agency’s specific programs include counseling, pregnancy assistance, adoption services, child abuse prevention, parent education & support, substance abuse treatment, jail ministry, youth development and a daily meal program at the parish kitchen. Catholic Charities celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2011.
Mr. Guilfoyle also actively serves his community through his work as Secretary of the Serra Club of Northern Kentucky, a group devoted to promoting vocations to the Roman Catholic priesthood and religious life. He serves as Chairman of the Fund for Urban School Excellence, an endowment campaign that supports the Catholic elementary schools in Northern Kentucky’s urban core. Additionally, Mr. Guilfoyle serves on the Board of Trustees of the Northern Kentucky University Foundation.
Mr. Guilfoyle practices extensively in the area of administrative law, guiding clients through the bureaucracies and administrative processes of state and local governments in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He chairs DBL’s administrative law section.
